CALL-TEMP FOR THE WINTER: How Does Call-Temp Actually Work?
Plug Call-Temp into your phone-jack.
Set furnace thermostat to desired temperature.
Turn Call-Temp switch to “ON”.
Set Call-Temp “Warning” level 10 degrees BELOW the setting on your furnace thermostat.
Example: if your furnace thermostat is set to 50°, set Call-Temp at 40°. Whenever you call (it’s toll-free) there will be a normal “ring” if the room temperature is above 40°. But a “busy” signal is a warning that the room’s temperature is below 40°.
A “busy” signal warning tells you to take some corrective action. Call a friend, neighbor or serviceman immediately.
Call-Temp will work with an answering machine.

Plug Call-Temp into your phone-jack.
Set Air Conditioner thermostat to desired temperature.
Turn Call-Temp switch to “ON”.
Set Call-Temp “Warning” level 10 degrees ABOVE the setting on your air conditioner thermostat.
Example: it your air conditioner thermostat is set to 70°, set Call-Temp at 80°. Whenever you call (it’s toll-free) there will be a normal “ring” if the room temperature is below 80°. But a “busy” signal is a warning that the room’s temperature is above 80°.
A “busy” signal warning tells you to take some corrective action. Call a friend, neighbor or serviceman immediately.
